Thom Khem is a classic Lao comfort dish. This delicious, braised pork belly stew will warm your soul. The pork belly is braised in a sweet and savory broth until it’s melt in your mouth tender. The hard-boiled egg also slowly simmers in the broth and soaks in all the flavors. This mouthwatering dish is served with jasmine rice for the perfect comfort dish.

Ingredients: pork belly, jasmine rice, egg, sugar, vegetable oil, ginger, galangal, garlic, oyster sauce, black soy sauce, salt, msg, and water.
Reheating Instructions:
For best results, thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
Stovetop (Recommended):

Remove the film on the soup compartment side and pour the soup into a saucepan. Heat it thoroughly over low to medium heat, stirring occasionally. Puncture film on rice compartment side and microwave for 45 seconds.
Microwave (Please note that the recommended reheating time is for a 1000-watt microwave. Reheating time may vary depending on the model and power of microwave.):

Thawed: puncture film in two spots (one in soup compartment and one in rice compartment) to allow ventilation and steam. Microwave for 2:30 minutes. Remove film on the soup side, stir the soup, and microwave for another 30 seconds. Remove film and enjoy!
