Ready to spice up your taste buds? Our Thum Mak Hoong kit includes shredded green papaya, cherry tomatoes, fresh lime, Thai chili peppers, and sugar. We add our special Laos To Your House-made papaya salad sauce made with padaek, shrimp paste, tamarind, and crab paste for a punch of flavor.
This spicy papaya salad pairs perfectly with Sai Oua (Spicy Lao Sausage) and Seen Savanh (Lao Beef Jerky)! Added bonus: It's gluten free! (Please note we are not a certified gluten-free kitchen; however, no gluten was added to this item.)
Please note: This item is freshly made and requires preparation, but don't fret - we've included an instructional video to simplify it! Make sure to enjoy this item within 2-3 days of receiving it.
Preparation instructions: Pound or squeeze all the tomatoes to get the juice out of them. Squeeze the lime onto the papaya. Add only half of the papaya salad sauce, sugar and red chili pepper flakes. Taste first, and then add more of these ingredients as needed based on your flavor palette. Using all the papaya salad sauce and chili peppers will give you Lao spicy!
